User Experience Designers are key members of the UED team and will work closely with Lead UI designers, Product Managers, Product Functional Specialists, Customers, and developers. The individual will be responsible for designing and documenting the User Interface and Experience for various consumer and enterprise web based applications.

1. Design and development aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-use user interfaces for Web

Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of relevant work experience in human factors and usability engineering with at
least 2+ years applying these skills to the design and development of web-based,
enterprise-scale software systems
2. Extensive experience with prototyping and use of Photoshop/Fireworks or equivalent
for graphic design.
3. Hands-on experience with technologies such as HTML, DHTML, XHTML, W3C-DOM,
JavaScript, Style sheets – CSS, CSSP, CSS inheritance building Ajax / Web 2.0 web based
applications
4. Expertise in dynamic HTML / JavaScript is highly desired.

Intuit's Small Business Division seeks a strong contract designer with skills and experience in UI architecture and interaction design to help build new and compelling generations of business-management, financial, and accounting software for small- and mid-sized businesses. The contract is for 3 months and could be extended based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be well trained or experienced in end-to-end UI design, illustrate an ability to apply strategic thinking and business goals to design work, possess an understanding of both work flow and user tasks, and will be known for having a good eye, usability focus, and aesthetic values.

Candidate will have worked as a hands-on UI design practitioner for desktop and/or web software. Candidate will be responsible for delivering exploratory design to UI implementation.

Ideal candidate will:
• Lead by example, smarts, and design principles
• Hold direct responsibility for creating the user interface of key customer experiences and projects, concentrating on end-to-end scenarios and top user tasks.
• Illustrate drive for ease of use and simplicity despite complexity of software/desktop applications
• Learn new technology quickly, from the core applications being developed to new design tools
• Be capable of defining and implementing design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs; illustrate experience with industry and corporate design standards
• Be capable of independent design process, project, and schedule management
• Compare and contrast various design solutions, taking technical, resource, and time constraints into account
• Prioritize among competing assignments, features, user tasks and needs• Illustrate experience in conceptual development and creative prototypes as well as tactical UI design and implementation
• Be tolerant of range of projects, from vague to well-defined, simple to complex, implementation to innovation
• Be a creative problem-solver and an effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
• Exhibit ability to collaborate with user researchers, UI text writers, peer designers, and art directors; illustrate productive collaboration with other corporate peers and sponsors
• Have ability to communicate and collaborate with remote teams.

Qualifications
• 5 + years of product/interaction design.
• Graduate or Post-graduate degree in design or cognitive science/human factors or related field.
• 4 + years of application product experience.

Experience in shipping high-volume, high-profile, or award-winning software products preferred.
• Strong portfolio available for viewing.
• Strong prototyping and mockup skills with tools such as Photoshop, Visio or Flash.

This position is located in Bangalore, India. "Focus on the user, and all else will follow.

Responsibilities:
Defining the user model and interface for new Google products and features.
